Lick mats are a great way to train your dog to behave while doing things they may not like. Apply whip cream, peanut butter, or Kong spray cheese to the mat and spread with the spatula. Put the mat in front of your dog while you trim their nails, brush them, clean their ears, or give them a bath. They will work hard to get all the treat and be distracted enough for you to do whatever you need to do to them. This is great for puppies who are just getting used to different things that we need to do to them, it allows them to create a positive association with things that are not so much fun for them.
