The New Guinea Singing Dog is the rarest breed of dogs in the world. It is found on the island of New Guinea. It is quite an unusual breed as it is consider "barkless". Instead of traditional bark it has a yodel-like or howling sounding voice. They are most closely related to the Australian dingo. The natives of New Guinea often use the Singing Dogs to help them hunt. Today the future of the New Guinea Singing Dogs is in danger, as their habitat is being destroyed and they face dilution from mating with other breeds of dogs.
